This is a week to recognize our efforts in the promotion of horticultural therapy. In years past, AHTA has recruited the networking groups, affiliated horticultural therapy programs, and members to volunteer in helping us in this effort, both on the national and local level. This year we again ask for your help!

Some ways you can help include:

• Host an event during the week to celebrate  
• Send flyers to your community announcing NHTW
• Promote NHTW through your social media networks
• Start a new garden in the community with the help of your clients or students
• Create flower arrangements to set out in your offices announcing NHTW
• Host a workshop on horticultural therapy activities at your local library
• Perform a presentation on horticultural therapy at a local spring garden fair

• Showcase the educational and therapeutic power of plants at a spring-themed open house

NHTW is an excellent opportunity to host an AHTA Garden Party to help support the credentialing of horticultural therapists. Visit our Garden Party Fundraiser page for more information. 

Holding an event in your area? Let us know so we can promote it on our events calendar! By hosting a variety of special events or activities, we're able to collectively elevate recognition and appreciation for our programs and our profession.
